We arrived at the OB unit in the middle of the night with broken water, but no contractions. We were three weeks early and I was a nervous wreck because of an early baby, and the need to be at work to complete a few things before he came. Throughout the early morning hours, the night nurse kept referencing potential problems our 37-week old boy would have when he was born. I was a mess!
April came on shift at 7 am and took the time to sit down with me and talk to me about other things. She helped to calm my fears about my early baby boy. I am so thankful April was there for his birth. She kept me calm during birth and reassured me that he was perfect and everything would be fine. All through the day she was attentive and caring and made us feel so much better about everything. We will never forget her. April is amazing!
