Without Audra’s go-get-'em positive attitude I don’t think I would have been able to go through my delivery as smoothly.
First of all, all of my nurses were great, however, Audra was above and beyond. Audra was my night nurse and my labor and delivery nurse. When she first came in I knew she was going to be good by her personality. She asked me what my goals were for the birth and I told her I didn’t want an epidural and she fully believed I could do it. Throughout the night she would check on me and my husband, get my husband food, and me my liquid diet. She kept things light and joked with us, which was great because we were both scared and nervous, this being our first child. When the time came to bring our baby into the world she coached me on breathing and pushing through the contractions. She made sure both myself and my husband were ok. At one moment things got a bit complicated and the doctor had to use the vacuum on the baby. Again, Audra comforted and coached me through it to finally bring our baby boy into the world. Without Audra’s go-get-'em positive attitude I don’t think I would have been able to go through my delivery as smoothly. She was a great nurse and I could tell she loves what she does. I can’t thank her enough for helping us bring our baby into the world.
