I had the pleasure of meeting the nurse Beonka Wallace while my aunt was in ICU. She was exceptionally caring, kind, and went beyond her duties of being a nurse. You would’ve thought that my Aunt was her grandmother. Yes, indeed, we need more caring nurses like her. Beonka Wallace helped me accept that my Aunt was critically sick. When she needed assistance from other medical staff, she didn’t hesitate to ask. Even watching her turn my aunt, she was very gentle. All the medication she gave her, she explained to my aunt why and what it was for. What a joy, and a real blessing to have a nurse like her to work with the Ascension Providence team in Southfield. Even though my aunt passed away, I just want you to know Beonka is the best of the best, and she should be honored by The DAISY Foundation
