I was fortunate to have Cassie as my nurse in Labor and Delivery (L&D) for three of her day shifts. To say she was a true "God Send" is truly an understatement. I was admitted to L&D following my 40-week appointment and Cassie was constantly reassuring and checking on me as my stress and nerves were very high. She made sure my room was a comfy space and did everything to prepare me for what was to come overnight.

When she returned to work the next day, she immediately jumped in and coached me through labor. I truly did not realize how much nurses do in L&D, and boy, I am not lying when I say SHE DID IT ALL. She was so encouraging and kind. Her passion for her patients is undeniably the best. I don’t think I could have remained as calm throughout my labor if it was not for her.

After our baby was born, she continued to go above and beyond for not only me but also our baby and my husband! She loved greeting and meeting our visitors, and we were fortunate enough to have her back for a third day to help us prepare to go home with our baby. Her passion, empathy, hard work, and kindness are just a few reasons why she is an excellent nurse and truly deserves to be recognized. Because of Cassie, I will recommend Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin's for Labor & Delivery to all of my future "expecting" friends! Saying "Thank you" will never be enough!
