Charlotte was alerted by housekeeping that her patient's dentures were left behind after discharge. She recalled that her patient was 90 years old and unable to drive back to OHSU to retrieve her left behind item. Charlotte quickly volunteered to bring them back to her on her way home that evening, even though it was out of her normal route home. The patient was quite relieved when Charlotte called informing her of the plan stating that she had been looking all over for them. I was impressed by Charlotte's concern for her patient's comfort and her willingness, without hesitation, to take her personal time to ensure her patient could eat tonight.
