Even if I said I didn’t need anything he would double and triple check to make sure I was good because he knew I did not like asking for things.
I had Colin as my nurse multiple times during my stay at CHOP. He was by far my favorite nurse I had. He was very kind and his care seemed very genuine. He visited my room multiple times a day making sure I was okay, and would always ask if I needed anything. Even if I said I didn’t need anything he would double and triple check to make sure I was good because he knew I did not like asking for things. He made me feel very comfortable when he was my nurse while I was at CHOP. There were multiple nurses while at my stay whom I would see maybe twice during their whole shift, Colin always made sure to pop in at least every hour. He was very good at communicating with me and making sure I was comfortable. He was also very kind to my parents and siblings when they would visit and he always made sure that they were in the loop with whatever was going on with my treatment. He was on time when I needed my medications and vitals done. Colin is easily one of the best nurses I’ve ever encountered. He made my 2 weeks stay at CHOP a much more welcoming and comforting experience despite everything I was going through. I wish there were more nurses that are as compassionate, flexible, open-minded, and communicative as Colin.
