Diane Waldrip is part of a two-LPN team that has been the sole onsite nursing support since March of 2023 at Causeway CBOC, supporting four provider PACT teams for a total of 1450+ patients with complex medical and mental health diagnoses. Their nursing leadership and commitment to the clinic and patients at Causeway CBOC have allowed the clinic to function efficiently despite the loss of staff while meeting their many PACT responsibilities and patient needs on a daily basis.
At times, one of them may be the only nurse on-site with virtual RN support, but through this Diane and her fellow LPN colleague have consistently demonstrated professionalism in all aspects of their nursing care. The quality of their work is consistently outstanding no matter how much is asked of them. Their skill-set and nursing knowledge is that of a seasoned RN and because of this providers have trust and confidence in their capabilities in caring for their patients. They are masters in PACT, triaging problems, managing view alerts, and abstracting data from outside medical records for providers to ensure efficiency in the clinic and to make sure the provider has needed information for comprehensive patient visits or virtual encounters.
Diane and her fellow LPN colleague have been nominated for multiple Good Catch Awards after identifying safety issues such as an error in post-discharge medication reconciliation or vaccine issues for example, They also have been recognized for ICARE Awards for going the extra mile to help a veteran. Diane Waldrip LPN and her fellow LPN colleague are Causeway’s PETALS and deserving of this DAISY Award!
