I have had the unique opportunity to not only work side by side with Jo in the Childbirth Center for the past five years, but also to have her care for me during my labor and birth of my daughter this past January 2017. I have always known that Jo is a fabulous nurse, but to be able to witness her compassion, caring and knowledge first hand was an amazing opportunity.
With my labor I had planned prior to my arrival that I did not want to get an epidural. When It became more painful and things were moving along Jo sat at my bedside for over three hours without leaving. Jo's words of encouragement and belief in me pushed me through my labor. I can honestly say I don't know if I could have made it through my labor (epidural free) without Jo's support. I consider myself lucky to have had Jo by my side on my special day, but even luckier that I get to work side by side with her!
