Jackie did a tremendous job of caring for me while I was delivering my second son. She explained everything she was doing and why and listened attentively to my wishes and needs. Throughout my delivery, Jackie had a nursing student shadowing her. Not only did she explain everything very clearly to her student, but she told him the reasoning behind what she was teaching him and why he should continue to use that method in the future.
She offered him hands-on experience (with my consent) like doing my urinary catheter. Additionally, because I gave birth on my birthday, Jackie was kind enough to bring me a piece of cake and to have all of her co-workers sing "Happy Birthday" to me. Very considerate and thoughtful. I can tell that she loves being a nurse!
