KJ really embodies the qualities of a true nurse and a strong team player. Not only is she incredibly skilled and knowledgeable with her own patients, she somehow always seems to balance all her duties and responsibilities throughout the shift. She is genuinely kind, very attentive and a strong advocate for her patients. No matter how busy she is, she will always take a minute or 5 to not only answer a question but also explain the rationale behind it. She is patient, and always willing to mentor up new nurses and those who are less experienced.
Amidst the low counted shifts and lack of EMTs since COVID started, KJ worked harder by doing all her EKGs, placing patients on monitor, and do the most she can before asking an EMT for help. Staff are happy to work with her and feel relieved when they see KJ working on the same shift as theirs. KJ offers help before you even ask her. She is extremely helpful with a positive attitude and a smile and ensures the safety of her patients and her co-workers.
KJ constantly looks out for team morale and genuinely cares about us. She brings us treats and homemade food. It makes her happy to see us enjoying it. She is humble and consistently performs. Her colleagues love and respect her.
