The highlight of my stay at Wellstar started at 7 PM when my night shift nurse walked into my room. I was admitted at 1 PM for an induction and had just started my Pitocin at 6:30 PM. This was my first induction, and I did not know what to expect.
Krystal entered the room and reassured me that I would not be alone, and we would get through it. When the pain began, she was there to coach me, comfort me, rub my back, and honestly went above and beyond her nurse duties. She made my delivery a holistic experience overall.
I asked for an epidural, but unfortunately, after multiple attempts, the anesthesiologist was unsuccessful in placing one and the pain was unbearable. She held me and breathed with me, and really- never left me feeling alone. She was also there for my husband, tending to both our needs.
I am a registered nurse on a mother-baby unit and can actually say that Krystal's nursing ability and skill set were exceptional. Thank you for making a painful memory a beautiful one.
