This DAISY Award for Nursing Students Honoree was nominated not once, not twice, but four times by peers in the classroom. Things said about Nancy Wallace state that she is a person who will always reach out to others in clinical, and in the classroom even if it is a simple "How are you?" Nancy is someone who wants to see a smile on everyone face, and if she can help put a smile on the faces of peers and patient's, then her heart seems filled. Nancy took on the "mother role" in the class and she always brought food in for the class as an effort to lift the spirits of those around her. She has a very busy home life with her family, but never once did she falter in assuring her school family was taken care of as well, demonstrating her flexibility and adaptability. She is stellar on the clinical units demonstrating the kindness, and sincerity in practice, as she has served others, always assuring the best care for her patients and the students on the unit with her. She always helped others and made sure they were supported in the clinical environment.
