Rasheeda was able to listen through an interpreter, to the patients concerns and convince the patient that this is the correct course of action.
An Arabic patient was at ASCMP. After her injection the patient felt dizzy and light headed. Rasheeda did a fantastic job handling this situation. Quick thinking which translated to quick action. The patient had previously been sent via ambulance to All Saints Hospital after previous injections. The patient, at first was refusing interventions to make her feel better. Rasheeda was able to listen through an interpreter, to the patients concerns and convince the patient that this is the correct course of action. The patient's heart rate and blood pressure were dropping which is what happened at the previous encounter. Rasheeda got the patient into a bed, got her feet up, and got her to drink some juice. The patient was monitored for a while as her heart rate and blood pressure went back to baseline. The patient was thoroughly educated by Rasheeda on how to try to prevent this from happening in the future and reasons to call an ambulance, if needed, when she got home. Once the patient recovered, she was sent home with her friend driving her.
