My mother was admitted on Friday straight into Progressive Care. Several of the days, she has had Roberta as her dayshift nurse. While everyone has been wonderful, Roberta is exceptional and above and beyond. My mother has been very sick and has been in pain, scared, upset, confused at times, and just has had a very hard time with her many health issues. Roberta has a wonderful bedside manner that has helped my mom so much. She has given what truly has been loving attention to her, has made her feel as comfortable as possible, and even makes sure my questions are answered so that I feel comfortable with my mother’s care. Her sense of humor really helps my mom—they say laughter is the best medicine! She never takes it personally when my mom rolls her eyes at her when Roberta has to tell her something she may not like to hear. 

Roberta is so professional that even when I witnessed a neurologist come in and talk so demeaningly to Roberta—she never lost her professionalism. She continued to care for Mom regardless. Roberta is a HUGE asset to Doctors Hospital and she has truly found her passion and love. I couldn’t have asked for a better nurse for my mom. I am very grateful for her. I would love to see her commended for the great heart she puts into her job, but I have not seen her act as if it is “just a job.”
