Rose embodies what it is to be a nurse. She is compassionate (always taking the time to listen to families and patients) non-judgmental, she does not discriminate who she helps or how much she helps them, and hard-working. I have never heard Rose tell a family member that she will not help them or tell another staff member that she will not try. She will always go out of her way to do what is best for the patients and families. Rose has taken care of many patients as a bedside nurse but as a care manager, she takes on the care of the community, she is organized (she has the ability to coordinate the care of the whole family and ensures the needs are met, and the caregivers have the resources that they need to continue to care for sick patients). Rose is wise. She thinks about aspects of care that many people may forget. she has a way of mentoring younger staff to help them understand how to deal with critical situations and ways to think outside of the box. We are very blessed to have Rose as a member of the FBC/ IPU team and part of Billings Clinic. I hope she will realize what a gift she is and how much she is appreciated. Thank you, Rose.
