I had to make this call today to you. I am a nurse myself and I couldn't believe what my mother said to me. She was a patient in your Emergency Department last night. Because of COVID, I couldn't be with her due to the visitor restrictions that are in place. I wanted so much to be with her so of course, I was very worried when I couldn't stay.
Your ED staff is outstanding. Her nurse (Stefanie Wallace) called me and kept me up to date. Much to my chagrin, (I told my other family members not to call the ED but they did) I would be the spokesperson, yet, each were updated and reassured about my mother's condition.
My mother was in such a good mood when she got home last night! I ask you, who comes home in a good mood after spending several hours in an ED? Well, she did. She told me she never felt alone. She told me the nurse even came in, sat down, and just visited with her for a little while. That act in itself made all the difference and made her feel so much better.
Thank you so much for taking such great care of my mother. The staff turned a scary time completely around.
