Alexis did everything and more to help me bond with my baby. I felt so at ease leaving him in her care, knowing she would love and care for my son just as I would.
My baby was born at 27 weeks. It was the most stressful time in my life. I felt like I couldn’t bond with my baby, and I left the hospital every day crying at the fact that I was leaving him by himself. Alexis went above and beyond to make sure my baby felt loved. She would constantly be doing arts and crafts with him- things that I couldn’t get to do because I wasn’t with him as long as she was. I would get calls with updates, things that helped ease my nerves. Alexis did everything and more to help me bond with my baby. I felt so at ease leaving him in her care, knowing she would love and care for my son just as I would. Even when she wasn’t around, she’d call and ask about him. For any procedure, she’d switch shifts with other nurses, and she’d come in on her days off to see him through his toughest moments. Anytime my baby had surgery or an important procedure coming up, she’d make sure she was his nurse. I can’t even begin to express the amount of love my entire family has for her. The gratitude that we have for her and for everything she did while my son was at this hospital. Alexis is truly a one-of-a-kind nurse. She’s at her calling, and she’s doing exactly what she was meant to be doing on this earth. Alexis was my safe place and my go-to during this entire situation.
