My husband was unfortunately hospitalized at Augusta General twice and was on the same unit both stays. During his first stay he had the privilege of having nurse Alison whom I as his wife found to be knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. He did not have Alison on his second stay; however, she saw us walking the hall and quickly came to check on him. She even stopped by his room to visit with us and wish him luck before he was discharged. Her commitment to her patients was heart-warming. I wanted to make sure that you were aware of how great of a nurse she is. I’m not saying others weren’t good, you have many competent nurses on the 3rd floor, however Alison stood out to both of us. I felt that she deserved a letter of appreciation for going above and beyond.
