When my son was born it wasn't long after that the doctor discovered that his breathing wasn't how it should be. He was put on oxygen then sent to MRMC the very next day. Since then he was put on an IV and also got a feeding tube because he wasn't eating from a bottle. He is no longer on the IV or oxygen but still has the feeding tube. On Saturday, Alison was my son's nurse. Not sure if she was before because the week has been a blur. We had been trying to feed him every day but weren't having much success until Friday. The next day, Alison was the only nurse who had allowed me to help with feeding my son and showed me a few tips on how to do so and it was a success. It truly meant a lot to me that she helped me and allowed me to feed him. She also used his name every time she spoke to him. I am very grateful for every single nurse who took care of my son, but she left a special mark in my heart. I could tell she doesn't want him to fail and is trying really hard to help him recover. Thank you very much Alison for EVERYTHING!
