Allisa is an incredible asset to our team and is a remarkable representation of the nursing profession. She has extraordinary communication skills as she navigates the continuum of our mental health services– staying informed of what services are happening in our area, partnering with other depts for quality patient experience, adapting to different patient needs, and ensuring that her colleagues are always in-the-loop. Most patients who come through our area first interact with her for a health and nutrition screening, but they are also met with her kindness, patience, and professionalism. These attributes create an environment where they are willing to disclose additional information that allows the team to better meet their needs and assist in their recovery. Her willingness for continuous learning is inspiring and is matched by her flexibility. “No” or “I can’t” are not in her vocabulary.
