After having been in a traumatic motorcycle accident and having had 5 surgeries in 4 days, I was as miserable as anyone can imagine. Alma Rodriguez was there for me, my little angel. Always with a smile and words of encouragement. When the surgeons decided to amputate my left leg on my birthday, she knew my family would come to celebrate my birthday. She was there for me every day no matter what I needed, pain meds, turning me, and singing happy birthday with my family. I think she went beyond what most patients would expect. Even when I didn't ring for a nurse, Alma would come in and check on me to see what if anything I needed. She is such a dedicated caring nurse. Metro should be proud of her.
