She had the most soothing voice and took the time to listen and offer help and assistance above and beyond. She was so personable and professional.
A few weeks back my husband was having breathing problems and anxiety issues. He'd had a knee replacement surgery weeks before, followed by an incision and drain later for hematoma. His pain was off the charts, and when he tried PT or walking, his heart would start racing, and he had problems breathing. We had a great team of nurses throughout his stay, but it was the last couple of days that Alysia Edwards was assigned to his room. She had the most soothing voice and took the time to listen and offer help and assistance above and beyond. She was so personable and professional. When she saw that he was still in a distressed state prior to his discharge from the hospital, she didn't just dismiss it, she got her charge nurse involved. We were extremely impressed that the charge nurse offered so many valuable suggestions as to how my husband could manage the pain when he got home and helpful do's and don'ts. It felt so good to have this type of attentive care after weeks of problems following the surgery, and sometimes doctors are hard to catch up with, and even if you do, they often can't offer much time. Kudos to this young lady for helping and caring for my husband during a critical and scary time in our lives.
