Amanda should be the Poster Child for all nurses. Her bedside manner was fantastic! Her outgoing, caring personality made me feel comfortable with the feeling that she really cared and that I would be well cared for. She made me feel like I had known her my whole life.
***
Amanda was so personable, accommodating and efficiently meeting all my needs. She came in well prepared having read my past medical history and surgical procedures and expressing concern for my continued issues I was currently dealing with.
Amanda shared her knowledge of each medication, explaining its purpose, effects, and schedule of administering even noting it on the board. She was very reassuring that I would feel better as I followed the doctor's plan for recovery. She was always quick to offer water, a cool washcloth or warm blanket when I expressed pain or when I was in an uncomfortable situation.
In addition to taking care of me, she also showed concern for my mother's (staying with me) comfort and sleeping arrangements, offering warm blankets when Mother stated it was cold sleeping by the window.
Amanda has the personal and professional traits/qualities that for a patient are so heartwarming. She shows, in every way, that she really cares!!
Thank you so much, Amanda!

Amanda is a very caring, charismatic nurse. I think she shares the love and care often ascribed to Mother Theresa. She is typically a rapid responder, a very good listener, and a loving comforter. My spirit was always lifted up in her presence. We found we had a special bond.
She has an autistic son and I have 2 autistic grandsons. We swapped our experiences. I hope the good Lord and all her family and friends provide her support.
