After my stroke and subsequent hospitalization, Amanda Veroutis went above and beyond as I recovered from the worst experience in my life. Amanda is the role model for all nurses....her golden heart, welcoming smile and sparkling and compassionate personality put her way above the rest - the filet mignon of nurses! My niece is a nurse in PA and many of my friends are too and guess what? This Amanda is the best of the rest! 

She is a true inspiration to the nursing field and she hugged me as I was frightened again as if my husband was the patient in a room she was only covering. She showed me again her true loving and healing heart! She makes us all feel like family while explaining the most difficult health issues as we navigate the darkness and unknown. Thank you is never enough, but acknowledging her kindness and compassion and going above and beyond is a light I want all of us to share.
