During my last hospitalization, Amanda took care of me many times. I was stressed about some new diagnoses. She answered all of my questions and took the time to do that even though she was very busy. She is a very special nurse, and she is extremely kind and compassionate. She always took the time to make sure I had everything I needed to get me comfortable with things, as little as a warm blanket. She always explained to me what she would be giving me as far as meds, and answered my questions that I may have had. Amanda made me feel as if I was her friend and had always known her. IU West is extremely lucky to have her on its staff. She always had a beautiful smile on her face and was always cheerful even though I knew she was swamped. I can tell Amanda loves her job! It shows! She treated me as if I was her family, and that speaks a lot! You don't always get blessed with the presence of such a beautiful soul, but I definitely was blessed to have her take care of me, and I wouldn't have it any other way. She is one of the best nurses I have had at all of IU Health but especially at IU West!! I wish you the best, Amanda! Thank you doesn't seem enough!
