Amber is always good with my son. She really got to know him to better care for him. Even when she wasn't his nurse, she would come in to help if his nurse wasn't available. If I was asleep or out and a new nurse came on while she was there that didn't know him, she would take a minute to stop and tell the nurse about his special needs so that he wouldn't have a bad day or night. I had two nurses let me know that she had given them the info on my little guy. His love of his blanket, his love of his shows, and the fact that his catheter for dialysis only picks up certain ways. She notified them of all the details about him as a patient. Things I would normally do to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. For her to take the time after her shift in the morning to stop and make sure my little guy was well taken care of is above and beyond in my opinion. I appreciate all she's done for him, and I hope she'll be here in the future when he eventually gets his transplant. Kindness like that is really important to parents like me who have been here for so long.
