Ana Mae is passionate about nursing, always ensuring her patients are safe. Making sure her patients have information about their treatment plan and medications are a daily focus. Ana Mae promotes teamwork on PCU by being a team player herself. One patient story that showcases her caring nature was with a patient who had been in the PCU for 16 days and was awaiting transfer to the local hospice house. The patient's daughter was getting married and the family made the decision to have the wedding at the hospital so that her mom would be able to witness her daughter's wedding day. Ana Mae helped to arrange decorations, logistics and even spent extra time assisting in dressing the patient to make sure she felt her best for one of the most important days of her daughter's life.
