My grandsons flew in from California to surprise me for my birthday and to see me while in the hospital. My daughter found the nurse that she felt had given me the best care who had a positive, outgoing personality. She coordinated with her on using the conference room for all the family to celebrate in.
One of my grandsons bought scrubs, and Andrea gave him a mask and clipboard. He walked into the room where my Michigan family and I were, pretending to be a doctor. Our family got the whole surprise on video. Andrea went out of her way to help make it the best surprise of my life. The nurses and staff were also aware of what was going on and rejoiced with us when our three grandsons surprised their 70 (71 in four days) year old grandpa. My whole hospital stay, Andrea was always smiling, positive, and went out of her way.
