When he died, she comforted all of us and told us how special we were and how lucky our dad was to have us. Kinder words could not have been spoken.
Angie was my dad's nurse the night we withdrew care, and the next night, when he went to hospice, he eventually passed. The night we withdrew care, my mom and I decided to spend the night with my dad but informed Angie that we would be back after grabbing dinner. When we returned, Angie had two very comfortable recliners set up with multiple blankets and pillows. She also had water waiting for us and even had one of the family rooms available to us in case we couldn't sleep in the room. It was an act of kindness that meant a lot to my mom and myself. She was on top of my dad's medication and oral care, which is so important when it comes to comfort care!

On my dad's last night with us, Angie was on top of my dad's medications, and she called me a few hours before my dad passed because she knew we wanted to be there. She was so kind to my family and allowed all of us to be with my dad during his last hours. When he died, she comforted all of us and told us how special we were and how lucky our dad was to have us. Kinder words could not have been spoken. I wish I could give more examples of her exceptionalism, but those nights were a blur that Angie made tolerable!
