At my lowest point, that kind of gesture made me feel like a human being.
I donated a kidney and was transferred to the 7th floor, a few days later at my lowest, unable to eat, Angela was able to pick up my spirits without being asked, she washed my wound, changed the bed, and changed my clothes, all with a smile. That's not the outstanding part. She asked what I like to drink on her own break she bought me a Snapple iced tea. At my lowest point, that kind of gesture made me feel like a human being. The power of a smile and a kind act can be the most powerful medicine especially when family cannot visit.
