I was in the hospital in the ICU section of ECMC for four days to deal with early-onset and rigorous treatment for Guillain-Barre Syndrome. I can't say enough about the dedication and energy of the entire nursing staff during this difficult period for me! Each and every staffer that stopped in to monitor my condition, and administer IVs, meds, etc. was special, and I thank them all for taking such good care of me. While everyone involved by far exceeded expectations on caregiving, one nurse, in particular, Ann Robinson, stood out, and I would like for her to be recognized by ECMC for her outstanding dedication to making sure I was comfortable as possible.

Ann's energy and her positive outlook were so refreshing. She always entered my room with a smile, made sure everything was taken care of on her checklist, and always asked if there was anything more she could do to make me more comfortable. She clearly loves her job, and ECMC is so fortunate to have such a loving and dedicated nurse who goes out of her way to make sure everything is as good as possible under the circumstances. Again, the entire staff was exceptional, and I want to thank them all for making me feel as comfortable as possible. The positive attitude displayed by all was so helpful for me, but Ann's attentiveness to me was special and I hope she received the extra recognition from ECMC that she certainly deserves. Ann is a DAISY Nurse not only because she is excellent at her job, but she is also an extraordinary person. Her positivity is contagious and much needed for folks dealing with serious medical issues.
