I don't believe there is another nurse in our organization that is more deserving of this very special recognition, as Anna truly is an extraordinary nurse. Last week, Anna was thanked by a visitor for praying with them and their critically ill loved one. The family was later overheard telling other family members how thankful they were that they had a "Christian Nurse"...how vital she was to that family at the moment they needed her most! Anna consistently switches her schedule from day shifts to night shifts to accommodate the unit needs as we are shorter staffed on nights; she never says "no" to her leadership team. Anna is one of the only certified chemo nurses and can always be counted on to come in at last minute notice to administer chemo doses to our Oncology patients. As a matter of fact, she will go into work tonight to give an 8-hour chemo to a patient in 214 (we just called her this afternoon and she said, "of course"); she never says "no" to a patient in need. Anna also volunteered to float to PCU one day last month in place of a very anxious co-worker; she never says "no" to a colleague. Anna is the epitome of a selfless servant of the Lord and is a stunning example of his grace. She is a role model to her entire team. Strong woman, fabulous mother, extraordinary nurse, amazing human being....that is Anna Jones :)
