We surprised Anna at the DAISY/Nursing Awards breakfast this morning. Anna was nominated by an outside service (GE Healthcare) during the infusion pump update recently.

"While everyone we worked with today was very helpful, I wanted to send a note to specifically recognize Anna Szkoda. The 8th Floor was the last area we hit this evening. I think we may have caught Anna off-going from her shift, but when I explained what we were doing, she immediately provided tremendous help to facilitate swapping pumps across the entire floor. She was not only very pleasant with us, but with every patient we visited probably 20 total rooms. We were all very impressed with Anna's positive attitude, energy, and teamwork to complete this project. Her support came at the end of a long day for our team, so made her efforts that much more appreciated. Based on what we observed, I know SMEMC patients in Anna's area are very well taken care of. Please help pass along our appreciation for Anna's above and beyond efforts!"
