We often talk about the healthcare alliance between patient and nurse, and about the nurse being an advocate for the patient. To say that Ashley epitomized these aspects of the superlative patient experience is an understatement. Ashley took such good care of me following my c-spine fusion as well as on post-op day one. I cannot imagine a better patient experience, or anything surpassing the amazing level of care and competence and attentiveness I received from Ashley. As an anesthesiologist on faculty here, I know a lot about exceptional nursing. Ashley is truly the best.

I am nominating Ashley for the unwavering support she provides for her patients whenever she works. Ashley worked a shift in May when she cared for a patient who was very sick and not in good spirits. At that time, we were not permitting visitors to visit for the protection of our patients and employees during the pandemic. This did not stop Ashley from making her patient's happiness her priority!
To her patient's surprise, Ashley coordinated a big family "drive-by" to cheer her up. The patient was able to watch her family members drive pass the hospital while sending their love and support. Ashley was recently nominated for employee of the month for this thoughtful gesture. Ashley perseveres and embodies the Jefferson values while being innovative and solution-oriented. She goes above and beyond for her patients!
