Last week we were in the MCM ER with my husband's mother. She was not responsive, and we knew she would be passing away very soon. Autumn Wood was our nurse in the ER that morning. Everyone we encountered that day was very nice and professional, be we wanted to commend Autumn for going above and beyond the regular duties of an ER nurse.
Autumn could see we were struggling, and she was so personable and caring to us and to her patient during our very difficult time. Autumn made sure her patient had great care, but she also made sure we were okay. She talked us through everything that was happening, she was warm and caring when we were tearful. Autumn went with us when mom was moved to the 4th floor to make sure she was moved carefully and that we had everything we needed.
We have been in and out of the MCM ER over the years and we have always experienced great care. Autumn just stood out to me as someone who really is there to make a difference. It meant the world to us that she was there for us during a difficult time. We just wanted to take the time to let you know how we appreciated the care we received from Autumn.
