Avihai came to the patient's bedside, held his hand, and comforted him through guided meditation and healing touch.
Today we had a patient in PACU that was experiencing unexpected pain after his surgery. His vitals were elevated; he was screaming in pain and gripping his stretcher so hard his knuckles were white. While his nurses were busy figuring out a pain management plan and getting pain medications for him, Avihai came to the patient's bedside, held his hand, and comforted him through guided meditation and healing touch. Not too long after Avihai was with the patient, the patient began to calm down, his breathing normalized, and vitals returned to normal. By helping the patient on an emotional level, we were able to formulate a plan to help his pain. Our entire PACU team was so impressed by the care and passion Avihai had for this situation and we are so grateful for his efforts. Healing involves the body and the soul, Avihai demonstrated just that.
