I was admitted twice in three months. My first admission was through the cath lab and Barbara Crowley was the first person I encountered. She was so caring to me and my family. She was so knowledgeable and explained everything to us. She was a patient advocate for me during both stays at the hospital. Upon my second admission, I asked where she was and was informed she had a new role in the hospital. Within an hour of my arrival, as I was waiting to go to surgery, Barbara came to see me and my family. I immediately felt at ease.I knew she was my advocate and would make sure I had the best care.Barbara came to see me every day. She sat with me and made sure all my needs were being met. I found out I will need two more procedures, and Barbara reassured me she would be there, and we would get through it together. I know Barbara's role at Hackensack has changed, but her role as an RN who is caring, compassionate, resourceful, and knowledgeable will never change. She gave me extraordinary care. Your facility should be honored to have Barbara on your team!
