My mom is incredibly claustrophobic and was petrified to have a closed MRI, so much so that she was adamant about leaving the hospital. It was Barbara who encouraged her gently to return with her light-hearted and enthusiastic attitude. She diffused the whole situation so much that mom was smiling and laughing her way down the hall to the MRI. We are so grateful for her going above and beyond.

Time and time again, Barbara receives notes of recognition from grateful patients. Perhaps one patient said it best, "Barbara is simply put in one word - special. St. Jude is fortunate to have her and so am I."
