Nursing is not a paycheck for her. It is something she has devoted her life to." Another nomination emphasized her commitment beyond regular working hours, noting, "After long shifts of administrative and quality improvement-focused responsibilities, she can regularly be found staying at the hospital, frequently on her own time, educating a young nurse, comforting the family and friends of a dying patient, using her excellent clinical skill set to help the ICU team obtain difficult central venous access, or meaningfully addressing our critical care nurse shortage by jumping in and directly taking care of patients."
