Bobbie is a great mix of accountability, and kindness. She establishes relationships with her patients and families. Bobbie puts their concerns and fears at ease, yet gives them confidence in her knowledge and management of the patient. She has been precepting many new nurses in SICU, and gives them the same attention and confidence, guiding them to learn and perform, yet nurturing and correcting in a non-threating and professional manner. Above it all she is a great co-worker. She checks on her peers, assures care and breaks are being managed, and the unit is functioning at its best. This is also accomplished with the same skills and attitude she promotes with patients, families and new employees. All patients in SICU reap the benefit of Bobbie being their nurse.
