Brenda is an extraordinary, compassionate nurse and a true asset to our team. The other day I overheard a patient tell her, "Brenda, you are a great nurse. Every time I am here and I see you, you make me smile."
During this time, Brenda had been caring for complex patients with multiple complications, and she was able to stay on top of them. Brenda intervened on these issues quickly and effectively, and she did so in a kind, thoughtful way that comforts her patients. Another example were her quick actions with a rapidly deteriorating patient. Throughout all of this, she kept a level head and a calm, reassuring demeanor. It was also the patient's birthday which she noted and she gave him a card to celebrate.
