Brianna is one of the kindest and most compassionate nurses in the ICU. She genuinely cares about her patients and their families and she receives constant recognition from them.
Brianna Davis started at DMH during the pandemic as a new grad RN in the ICU. Brianna was a stand-out from the very beginning. During the height of the pandemic, nurses were overwhelmed with family phone calls about their loved ones. Brianna exhibited a passion that exceeded her peers in providing information and being a listening ear to the families of our patients. This was evidenced by all of the compliments she received during this time. Honestly, she would fall behind sometimes because she would spend so much time on the phone with her patients' families. When families were allowed to visit, many requested Brianna because of her kindness and compassion. These are qualities we cannot teach a new graduate, you either have them or you don’t. Brianna is one of the kindest and most compassionate nurses in the ICU. She genuinely cares about her patients and their families and she receives constant recognition from them.
Recently, I received an e-mail from the Charge Nurse on 4 North about Brianna Davis, RN from ICU. Today we were lucky enough to have Brianna Davis pulled to the 4th floor. One of her patients asked me to come to his room and then told me he just wanted to “sing Brianna’s praises”. He said he has been in hospitals all over the country and she is by far the most “thorough, compassionate, kind and caring nurse” he has ever met. He said he was “truly blessed to have her as his nurse today.” It is rare that a patient requests to see the charge nurse to report something good. For this and the many other valiant acts that have been above and beyond expectation, Brianna is a true DAISY Nurse.
