My wife and I had a long day in the Labor & Delivery until after her water broke at 8:00am and the baby didn't come on out until 12:39am the next day. This was our first child and we were a little nervous and disoriented after being moved up to the maternity ward later in that evening. We didn't really get any sleep and we were quite flustered until Cee came in the next morning and started taking care of us. She was so sweet and attentive right from the start, and really put both of us at ease. She immediately answered all of our questions and made my wife comfortable enough to ask lots of things that I know she normally wouldn't (she's shy). After showing us the swaddling and helping walk us through the first feeding, I and especially my wife, had a new confident outlook about our parenting and baby care. She checked on us often and took care of everything we needed and then some.
When both of our families and even some close friends started overcrowding our little room, she even got us moved into one of the larger suites saying that we were her VIP's and that she could see we needed the extra space. This allowed us to let the grandparents stay and help a while and we even got to get a little sleep because of it. Cee is a very special nurse and made our whole experience SO much better. That woman deserves a DAISY Award!
