My father was admitted to the ICU because of a heart attack along with a major artery stent. My father is 91 years old and I was very concerned about him surviving the Stemi procedure. Candes Kelley was assigned as my father's nurse when he arrived in the ICU. We could not have asked for anyone better to take care of my father.
From the moment my father entered the ICU unit Candes took over his care. She is a take-charge kind of nurse and she did an exceptional job with the care of my father. She was so reassuring with me and so caring with the way she treated my father. I work with awesome nurses at another facility, but Candes is not only an awesome nurse, she, in my opinion, has set the standard in her unit for other nurses to follow. Mainland is very blessed to have someone like her as an employee.
When my father was moved out of the ICU to another unit, Candes visited him. She checked to see how he was doing. Her sincere care for my father really meant a lot to me and my family. Candes really made a lasting impression on me and my family. I was treated really well by the other staff members as well. Mainland is a wonderful hospital.
