She treated me like a person, not just a patient to see if I was in pain or needed anything that would help.
Carrie was my nurse for three days. She was kind and listened to my concerns and made me feel like they were valid questions and she said that she had plenty of time to explain things to me, each medication and any questions that I had about them. She made me feel like I was part of her family. I have a lot of medication allergies with an autoimmune disease and when I had a reaction to the Ativan and had concerns about starting Gabapentin so soon after, she took the time to get with the doctor and get permission to hold the Gabapentin. I’ve had other nurses who would be brisk and unfeeling tell me “this is what the doctor ordered" and make me feel stupid. Carrie was wonderful.

I had to go back two weeks after my knee replacement because of problems. They opened my knee back up and took care of the problem. They kept me here, Carrie was the main day nurse. She explained all of the medications and what all was going on. She answered all questions and my family was really appreciative. She treated me like a person, not just a patient to see if I was in pain or needed anything that would help. She was very much appreciated and deserves to be recognized as a much-appreciated nurse and person.
