Carrol's patient stated that for a whole year, he has been going from hospital to hospital with chronic hiccups, and he reported having self-medicated because he couldn’t handle the stress of not even being able to talk to others. He stated Carrol only took care of him for one day, and she suggested to the doctor a medication to help stop his hiccups, and the doctor prescribed it. He stated, “For a whole year, I have had hiccoughs that have been affecting the quality of my life; I am a whole new man due to her.”
