She has built an atmosphere on a Med Surge unit that is very welcoming and team-oriented!!
This nurse leader has been with the ministry for 12 years. She not only leads the unit but jumps right in when she is needed. She will never hesitate to administer chemotherapy when she is asked to do so for our patients. She puts in many long hours to ensure that her team is situated for the night and she never goes home without seeing each and every patient on the unit!! She has built an atmosphere on a Med Surge unit that is very welcoming and team-oriented!! She reaches out to staff that is pulled to us to make certain they feel cared about and is present when the Nursing students are here to help keep them engaged. This past year we started receiving International Nurses on 8 West Extension. She greeted them with a smile and a warm hug!! She loves what she does, as it shows in the reflection of the strong team that she has built!!! She is an effective leader and definitely is a DAISY Nurse Leader.

This nurse is an amazing leader. She is very compassionate and supportive of her staff. Every interaction I have ever had with she has been positive. She exemplifies all the traits a nursing leader should have. She is always helpful not only to her staff but to all hospital staff. I often see her helping with patient care and doing whatever is needed to keep her unit running smoothly. She deserves to be acknowledged as a DAISY Nurse Leader!

This nurse puts her heart and soul into our unit. She cares number one for our patients and their satisfaction. She rounds on our patients every day, not hesitating to toilet patients, change them, or do whatever they need to help them and us nurses. She cares for all her employees and bends over backward to meet our individual needs. She keeps us updated on our constantly changing environment. But mostly, she is the glue to our unit functioning as a TEAM!!!! I’m very happy to work with her and proud to work 8we serving my community!

This nurse goes above and beyond for her staff and for the patients on her unit. She comes in early, stays late, and is available by phone 24hrs a day. Her goal is to provide ultimate patient care and by supporting her staff so heartfully, they are able to do that.
