A patient writes that Chanel was his nurse during an admission for a procedure to remove a kidney stone. He states that he was better able to handle this very painful and stressful time due to Chanel's kindness, helpfulness, the compassion she demonstrated, her willingness to share her knowledgeable and especially her calming approach. He feels her hard work and her attitude toward her work is so positive and reflects well on Piedmont Medical Center.

Another patient related how knowledgeable Chanel is and that she has an excellent ability to convey information to the patient. She can also be depended on to do what she says she is going to do and gives the impression that she always has time for the patient. Chanel demonstrated respect for her coworkers, the nursing assistants, students, and physicians.

While on Ortho-Spine Chanel excelled in her performance on the unit. She took on several projects on the unit to make the workflow of giving report in a more timely manner. Chanel was always open to look for ways that the unit could be improved. Over her tenure on Ortho-Spine she was one of my top preceptors, she was always able to find a nurses weakness, and help them improve on these areas first. Chanel developed a great relationship with the physicians on the unit. Ortho Spine was fortunate to have Chanel on the unit for the past 3 years, and we look forward to seeing her excel in her new position in PACU.
