Charles showed empathy many times when caring for dad and didn’t leave his side until dad was comfortable.
My 86-year-old father is currently hospitalized with multiple diagnoses. Right away our family had many questions and my dad was fearful of the unknown. The Nurse greeted dad with warmth and grace. The Nurse did their job thoroughly and effectively. Even during moments of extreme stress and discomfort, they had a natural calmness and eased the moment. The Nurse listened to our questions and found answers quickly. Explained BP, kidney function, and hemoglobin levels in a way that we could actually understand. The Nurse called my dad by his name and seemed interested in his life. Repositioning was made easier for dad with kind conversation. My dad finds it pleasant to even talk to the Nurse. My dad even told him, “You can tell that you have compassion”. The Nurse showed empathy many times when caring for dad and didn’t leave his side until dad was comfortable. Since dad continues to be hospitalized, the Nurse checks and compares levels, his condition, and behaviors from the previous day. My dad is very pleased with the care he receives from his Nurse as am I. Everyone who is struggling needs a Nurse like this! This Nurse added comfort and knowledgeable care when our family really needed it.
