Charliss Rodgers is a registered nurse (RN) who practices as a Nurse Navigator for the Allison Women's Imaging Breast Center. Charliss is being honored with the DAISY Award for going above and beyond for the patients and families she cares for. Charliss is described as being an amazing nurse who has empathy and compassion for her patients.

Charliss consoles her patients telling them "I have been exactly where you are and I am here for you". This means so much to patients newly diagnosed with breast cancer. She works efficiently and thoroughly to make sure each patient is informed and understands every phase of their treatment. She is a huge comfort and is very supporting to patients facing the diagnosis of breast cancer. Charliss works well with all members of the healthcare team, communicating and effectively acting as an excellent patient advocate. No finer nurse, friend, or companion could be found for the patient in their journey of breast cancer.

One patient commended Charliss stating "I could tell by your dedication that God is working through you". Another patient stated "There are no words to describe what a blessing you have been to me over the past year. Thank you for all of your love and kindness that you have shown to me. You are truly a faithful servant." A former patient wrote a thank you note stating: "You were such a blessing! I believe you are a Godsend for everyone having to experience this cursed disease".

Charliss is further described as being kind, providing personal, expert care. Her peers describe her as being caring, thoughtful, and kindhearted, noting that she does her work with the utmost excellence. They can see that Charliss' patients love her.

Because of Charliss' compassionate and caring efforts, her patients experience a level of care that exemplifies the impact nurses have in creating an environment where patients and families feel at home.
